All the goals from Nuneaton Borough’s Southern League Premier Division campaign of 1996-97. Rob Straw finishes joint top of the League’s leading goalscorer chart, sharing the honour with Evran Wright of Halesowen Town.

Boro enjoy success in the FA Cup, beating Swansea in a replay at Manor Park, but the wheels fly off after losing to Bournemouth in a replay. The players and the club are in dispute over Cup bonuses and finish bottom of the league.

Boro’s promising start to the season goes disastrously wrong with an abysmal run of results from the end of October to the beginning of December. However, better times were just around the corner.

Boro are within an ace of the league title and Paul Culpin can break the Nuneaton Borough record for the number of goals scored in a season, beating the 54 scored by Tony Richards in 1966-67.

Boro, back in the Southern League Midland after one season in the Premier are trying to regroup after a player revolt. Tamworth are in the mix, but Newport County are favourites for the title.

It’s Boxing Day – literally! Boro and Bedworth play out a fiesty bank holiday encounter. Bedworth are in poor form and Boro are trying to bounce back from the disaster of the previous season.

It is a freezing cold night, but Boro are red hot favourites for the title. Despite their lowly position in the table the hosts are a tough prospect on their own ground.
Nuneaton Town v Forest Green Rovers
Boro face one of the title favourites, who had won 8-0 in the opening game of the season. Boro had started well with a win at Macclesfield. The game is followed Highlights Video from 2013-14.
Nuneaton Borough Goals 1994-95
Manager Elwyn Roberts pays the price for a season of under achievement as Boro finish 27 points shy of Newport AFC. On the upside there was an FA Trophy win and the Reserves won the title.
